Quadra4K Conversion ONLY

This will convert your inovato Quadra to a Quadra4K.

This is the main unit only and replaces your current Quadra.   It does not include any power, HDMI, or keyboard accessories.  You will continue to use the ones you already have for your existing Quadra.

This is an incremental (fairly minor) change in hardware over the original Quadra as the original hardware was nearing end-of-life.  The primary noticeable differences are no need for a fan due to a newer slightly slower CPU and the new front panel display vs red/blue LEDs, plus it uses a different case.  For HamClock, the other changes don't make much of a noticeable difference.

Unless the sound of the fan bothers you, or you want the front panel display, there really isn't a significant reason to switch to this model.

Here is the complete list of differences between the Quadra4K and original Quadra:

• Quadra4K runs cooler so no fan needed (and it is not compatible with the original Quadra stand/fan)
• Automatically sets 4x resolution on 4K monitors.  The original Quadra ran in HD mode on both HD and 4K monitors, but the difference is fairly subtle
• Front panel display showing IP address, CPU Temp, and Sun Spot Number and Solar Flux Index from HamClock
• WiFi 5 (dual band) vs WiFi 4 (single band)
• 4G memory vs 2G
• 32G storage vs 16G
• 2 USB 2.0 ports vs 1 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.0 on original Quadra
• 1.5ghz clock vs 1.7ghz on original Quadra
